Lisa's Labor of Love

It all started back in college, during the holidays. Showing up at gatherings with caramel apple slices and peanut butter truffles became expected, and the every new recipe was welcomed by friends and strangers alike. Soon, ladies tea, unbirthday parties and any excuse to have someone over for dinner was part of the monthly calendar, and my modesty was no longer acceptable to our friends. One night at dinner, a friend told me I should share my labors of love with the world. A few months later, I bought a plane ticket from NY to sunny San Diego, CA, and that's where we began.

 

The secret ingredient to every cupcake, every cookie, is the love that is poured into and over the time I spend in the kitchen. I think when someone loves what they do, it's tangible, and I experience such peace and contentment when I'm creating; So much so, that my time in the kitchen is filled with songs of worship and thankfulness, that I am able to take the ideas born of my heart and make them into a reality. Many hands and much encouragement has gotten me to this point, and I want to give a special thank you to Victory Media of Nyack, NY for designing my logo. It is my hope that Lisa's Labor of Love would be built into something that would be the conduit to other's happiness and success.
